Global jacket potato chain serves hearty jackets loaded with fabulous toppings
Blackpool, England — CPM Partnership, owner of the SpudsToGo ® brand, today reminded the public that despite wind and rain its newest shop on the famous North Pier in Blackpool was open for Half Term.
Established in 2005, SpudsToGo, a registered trademark in the US and Europe, is a name known to millions of people around the world—many of whom may have never set foot inside a jacket or baked potato shop.
Alison McEwan, general manager of SpudsToGo said: "We're fighting the wind and rain, but as long as the North Pier stands SpudsToGo will serve up piping hot jacket potatoes with delicious toppings."

Years ago, while I was searching for a quick, hearty meal (that wouldn't add to my rapidly expanding waistline), I walked into a "jacket-potato" shop in Edinburgh, Scotland and, instantly, fell in love with. . .a baked potato. Oh, don't get me wrong, I had consumed my fair share of oven-baked spuds in my 38 years (at that time) of traveling the globe, but I had never eaten any that came near those I enjoyed that day in terms of freshness and flavor.
The Scottish server behind the counter made me feel important, as though she were there that day to serve me and only me. I left feeling better, more positive, and comforted by the simplest of meals, but one that was filling, tasted great and didn't rob me of my life's savings! There and then, I decided to open my own baked potato shop and, in time, that's exactly what I did. Eventually, I bought the SpudsToGo brand and you'd think that the rest would be, as they say, history: in fact, it was just the beginning.
Over the years, as we have begun to license our brand, I have relied upon and expanded out from that original experience, and today I personally ensure that every potato SpudsToGo sells is the very finest available, and that our team members around the world, the people who serve our customers, whether they work for our licensees, don't merely "come to work," they love their jobs.
Fruit 'n' Smoothie compliments SpudsToGo nicely and so in most stores you'll find the two-brands side-by-side.
Recently, we acquired 'Hey Potato' and we plan to integrate this brand into our culinary family.
