Blackpool, England — CPM Partnership, owner of the SpudsToGo ® brand, today reminded the public that despite wind and rain its newest shop on the famous North Pier in Blackpool was open for Half Term.
Established in 2005, SpudsToGo, a registered trademark in the US and Europe, is a name known to millions of people around the world—many of whom may have never set foot inside a jacket or baked potato shop.

The following list of questions is a brief response to typical inquiries.
1. As a Store Operator, how much money can I make?
Answer: Profitability depends on many factors, including operating and occupancy costs, financing terms and, most important, your ability to operate your business effectively.
2. Is there an opportunity to acquire more than one SpudsToGo store?
Answer: SpudsToGo is an equal-opportunity by choice. SpudsToGo wants to hear from individuals capable of operating multiple locations. Candidates who have successfully operated multiple businesses may be suited to operating several SpudsToGo licensed locations.
3. Is SpudsToGo seeking women and minority Owner/Operators?
Answer: SpudsToGo is committed to increasing the number of minority and women operators and, to the best of our knowledge, has the single largest group of minority and women operators in our industry.
4. What is the availability of SpudsToGo stores in my area?
Answer: The availability of stores in specific areas will be discussed after your initial contact. SpudsToGo can not predict which store(s) will be available when you finalise the initial application process but, in general terms, you should not experience any difficulty in obtaining permission to establish a SpudsToGo store in your hometown.
5. Does SpudsToGo license to partnerships, corporations or investors?
Answer: SpudsToGo forms partnerships with reputable business partners, including individuals, partnerships and corporations.
6. I have a piece of property that would be ideal for a new SpudsToGo store: will SpudsToGo develop the site and award the license to me?
Answer: Good question. The site selection process is separate from our licensee selection process. We make the decision to develop a location because we believe it will be a success. SpudsToGo manages all site evaluations, acquires the property, and constructs the building. After making the decision to develop a site, SpudsToGo awards the license to the most qualified candidate. 7. How much cash do I need to buy a SpudsToGo location?
Answer: SpudsToGo requires that prospective Owner/Operators have a minimum of $40,000 in cash or liquid assets (for a SpudsXPress ™ Store) or $80,000 in cash or liquid assets (for a Full Store). Candidates with greater financial resources may have greater potential license opportunities than those who meet the minimum requirements.
8. Does SpudsToGo offer financing arrangements?
Answer: While SpudsToGo does not offer financing, SpudsToGo Owner/Operators enjoy the benefits of our established relationships with many national and International lending institutions which offer, we believe, the lowest rates in the industry. However, SpudsToGo prefers that its owner/operators do not use borrowed money whenever possible. We would never advise a prospective licensee to borrow money to acquire a SpudsToGo license.
9. How much time does it take to complete the training program?
Answer: The SpudsToGo training program may be as brief as 7 days, depending on your experience, or as long as 4 weeks if undertaken on a part-time basis, approximately 20 hours a week. The completion of the training program is not based on time but on mastering the skills necessary to operate a SpudsToGo store.
10. What is the application process?
Answer: If after mutual interest is established there is a mutual interest in moving forward in the selection process, we will arrange an In-Store evaluation. You will spend time in one of our stores where you will be introduced, firsthand, to our System operations and procedures. We provide you with the opportunity to experience the fast-paced, customer-focused demands of operating a SpudsToGo store. The first step is to complete our License Evaluation Form.
11. We're mall developers and prefer not to enter into franchise arrangements when we operate our food courts, etc. Will you simply license us to use your brand?
Answer: In a word, yes. SpudsToGo does not franchise its brand. We have a very attractive licensing programme. Please contact us for more information.
